Mega Dynamic Meditation in London

What a burst of energy, what liberation and what a relief! Mega Dynamic Meditation in the heart of London. A free event to share with London folks what is perhaps the most valuable and precious gift left to humanity by the Enlightened Master Osho.

The Mega Dynamic Meditation is an idea launched by us at Love Osho in London with the intention of developing it into a mass phenomenon, which can spread like a virus and be replicated in all the major European capitals. London is a hub of new trends and the bridge between innovations from the USA and mainland Europe.

Our first Mega Dynamic Meditation event, offered free of cost, took place on Sunday, April 3rd 2016. Without particular effort, just via some simple social media promotion, a crowd of almost 50 people turned up on time, on a Sunday morning at 8.30am sharp for this exciting experiment. Many people had no previous experience of Dynamic Meditation.

After a brief introduction of Osho and the context in which Dynamic Meditation was born, we explained the five stages of the technique and off we went! At first some people, especially new comers, struggled a bit with the deep, fast and chaotic breathing; but that did not stop everyone in the room to let go completely during the second stage. The catharsis was powerful and total, the group energy supported those who were holding back and a torrent of emotions was expressed. Then the jumping, the shouting of the mantra “hoo-hoo-hoo” in unison and at the peak of energy STOP, no movement, no noise. Finally the celebration: delighted expressions painted on people’s faces, sinuous body movements twirling around the room filling the space with joy and gratitude.

Nowadays one of the most popular meditation techniques is Mindfulness. As all experienced meditators know, the "modern mindfulness’ is nothing but the millennia old Buddhist practice. Interestingly, Osho introduced Dynamic Meditation because the traditional techniques were not helpful to the majority of people already in the 70s. What to say about today?

Nowadays the "poor modern man" is struggling with an unprecedented amount of stress. In a megalopolis like London, which counts nearly 10 million inhabitants, a typical day is dictated by an enormous amount of sounds, colours, images and sensory stimuli, which relentlessly activate areas in the brain even without us even being aware of it. We live in a state of constant alert and sensory stimulation; the brain is forced to continuously process information. The problem is that we do not know how to stop this process. Somehow the button has been switched "on", and no one taught us how to switch it “off”. Before we even realise it, the mind has taken over and keeps perpetually and automatically processing data, information, ideas and contents.

Dynamic Meditation is a method that can give an instant taste of “mindlessness” and those who turned up to our event gave us this feedback.

A series of studies in collaboration with universities and researchers in neuroscience have demonstrated the beneficial effects of meditation practices. Thanks to modern technology, sophisticated machineries are able to draw the map of the brain activity during meditative states.

For Osho lovers, this is an exciting challenge: produce scientific evidence to demonstrate that the methods created by Osho, like Dynamic Meditation, are effective. Mindfulness has obtained the recognition of our modern Western society; Osho Active Meditations have so much more to offer!

We have recently attended a conference where a researcher talked about new anatomical studies where the level of electricity produced by the body has been measured. The study mapped the electric biodynamic field produced by a person jumping on the spot. Hearing this, our ears pricked up and immediately the image of "hoo-hoo-hoo" (third stage of the dynamic stage) came to mind.

Often we have heard the expression: “Osho meditations are scientific" and taken for granted the magnitude of this statement. In reality the genius of Osho did not talk nonsense. Today advances in the field of neuro-technology have produced equipment such as the MRI scan: no doubt Osho would have used it! We at Love Osho aim to accomplish this.

Introduced in the late '60s and early' 70s in rural and strictly conservative India, the revolutionary Dynamic Meditation designed by the visionary Osho, is proving to be the best intuition of the century.

Our contemporary society clearly demonstrates how the modern man needs more than ever opportunities to relief tensions on a daily basis.

Dynamic Meditation is not just the solution to prevent the growing collective madness spreading in modern days; it is also the answer for people seeking calmness, serenity and happiness, which are the basic reasons why an ever-increasing number of people are turning their interest into meditation.

The "meditation phenomenon” is exploding in the Western society and our intention is to spread the Mega Dynamic Meditation. Overwhelmed by the feedback from the people who joined our first Mega Dynamic Meditation, we are now even more inspired to carry on.

It is really heart warming to notice how Osho is so helpful to people living in London in 2016. The only question people asked at the end of the event was: “When is the next one?”
